During 2005, the Cofina Group’s activity was distinguished by the accomplishment its restructuring process which led to the separation of the main activities developed (Media and Industrial operations) in two separate holdings and to the incorporation of a new company – Altri, SGPS, S.A. (holding F.Ramada and Caima groups). Cofina, SGPS, SA kept all the media assets. Both companies are currently listed in Euronext Lisbon stock exchange.

Since its industrial division split off in March 2005, Cofina SGPS, SA is currently focusing its activity in the media and content segment. The key company in this business segment is Cofina Media, SGPS, SA (previously named Investec Media, SGPS, SA). The Group's principal activities are media communications and publication of newspapers and magazines. It deals with press and online publications in sports, business, women's magazines, general information and motor sectors.
